Purpose of this research is to provide an overview of the Estonian Archives Act and it will be analyzed in comparison to the archives legislations of other countries. Estonian Archives Act will be valued on the basis of the modern archival science´s and records management´s development context.
The research’s intended purpose is also to carry out a study of the current Estonian Archives Act and the new Estonian Archives Act, and to assess the effects of a comparative analysis on the effects of the anticipated direction. Similarly, an evaluation methodology to assess the suitability of the operation of the laws of archives and records management legislation in the field for evaluation. |
